‘12 Days Of JohnsByrne Faves’ 2023 Holiday Packaging

With the holidays in full swing, we’re excited to bring back our annual 12 Days of JB Faves! Once again, we have an array of innovative and festive package designs that truly convey the spirit of the holidays while creating memorable unboxing experiences.

We’ll take a look at each of our 12 holiday package selections for this year and provide insight into the designs and enhancement treatments used. With decades of experience and expertise, our clients rely on us as their preferred packaging partner for seasonal and promotional packaging needs. We’re so excited to highlight the season of giving with holiday packaging we’ve produced this year.

1. Live Tinted Holiday

First on our list, a glossy and shiny holiday collection for Live Tinted! With hits of matte varnish and spot gloss UV throughout, these embellishments provided high contrast on each folding carton!

2. Jim Beam Holiday VAP
   

For Day 2 of 12 Days of JB Faves and we’re spotlighting some of the best value-added packaging this season has to offer!

The Jim Beam Holiday 2023 VAPs feature a variety of print innovations for maximum gifting experiences. With soft touch coating, spot gloss UV and gold foiling, these decorated folding cartons are not only festive, but recyclable as well!

3. Joico Holiday

We guarantee you’ll love Day 3! For this day of 12 Days of JB Faves we’re reviewing a dazzling holiday collection we produced for Joico.

With an impressive variety of duo and trio gift sets, our team JOI-fully accepted the challenge to manage this teams’ premium packaging needs, ahead of the 2023 holiday season! The packages feature cold foil, 4 color process and an overall gloss aqueous coating.

4. Brandshare Whole Foods 12 Days of Beauty Advent Calendar

There’s more in store, as we’re only on Day 4! This day of 12 Days of JB Faves countdown dives into the health and beauty space with no other than Whole Foods!

JohnsByrne collaborated with Brandshare to create a book style calendar format with interior vac trays to hold the products securely in place inside. As part of our end-to-end solution, we also handled the assembly and fulfillment of the calendars.

5. Makers Mark Holiday VAP

We’re embracing the holiday spirit with Makers Mark and our specialty 2023 holiday VAP for Day 5.

Perfecting the brand’s bright, signature PMS red on Kraft stock, our team is honored to continue supporting the vision and creative integrity of this annual program!

6. Pinch Provisions Holiday Kit

For Day 6 of 12 Days of JB Faves we’re premiering this delightful, Holiday Movie Marathon kit made for our partners at Pinch Provisions.This10-piece gift set packed with fun essentials to enjoy while you take in your favorite festive films!

This Target exclusive kit was printed on a foil board with gold metallic ink, giving the folding carton a more premium decoration to enhance the artwork on the outer structure.

7. Johnny Walker

As we continue to countdown 12 Days of JB Faves, Day 7s packaging highlights our collaboration with Johnny Walker for their limited-edition, holiday ornament and counter unit – the perfect stocking stuffer made with unique die cut windows to showcase the four 50ml bottles inside the gift set!

8. Image Skincare

Day 8 of our countdown highlights a fun, colorful, and tactile holiday set with IMAGE Skincare.

Featuring both soft touch and spot gloss UV, in tandem with embossing patterns, our team achieved a premium, textured feel on the annual, limited-edition skincare kits utilizing FSC® – certified materials.

9. Bath & Body Works

Day 9 spotlights the 2023 holiday gift set for Bath & Body Works!

This holiday trio gift set was produced on a bright silver met poly using 4 color process, satin varnish, and an overall gloss UV for added shine! With embossing on both the copy and artwork, the gable top style carton also includes die cut windows to showcase the three specialty fine mist fragrances. A perfect gift set to capture the scents of the season!

10. Alterna Caviar

Our next pick uses 24pt SBS, our team created this trio moisture, front lock carton for Alterna Haircare!

Shimmering effects on the artwork were emphasized using a silver foil stamp over the structure which was printed on a 4 color process, gloss aqueous coating over a flood of PMS, and dull varnish.

11. Four Roses Holiday VAP

Day 11 promotes our VAP with Four Roses Distillery! Our structural design team created this specialty kit using 28pt stock and a thermoform tray, durable to hold the 750ml Four Roses Small Batch bottle and 2 rose ice molds. The carton is built on a 4 color process with 2 PMS colors, soft touch, and spot gloss UV for shine and dimension. Gold foil stamping is featured throughout, supporting the brand’s signature look.

12. JohnsByrne Advent Calendar

Finally, for our JohnsByrne holiday 2023 program, we wanted to create a card and gift that reflected our premium sustainable packaging capabilities as well as our latest innovation to create a unique unboxing experience.

As we produce premium packaging and specialty print all year long for our many customers and brands, we are continually inspired. For this year, we drew inspiration from the many advent calendars that we’ve produced.  We also wanted to feature the enhancement capabilities of our new Scodix digital enhancement press including foil, tactile coating and Cast & Cure.

We decided upon a ‘Warm Wishes’ theme and engaged our structural design team to develop concepts for the card and carton as well as our operations team to plan our digital enhancements.

The result was a sustainable and fully recyclable package featuring differentiating enhancements for a unique and memorable unboxing experience.
